SANTA MAGDALENA, SORSOGON — Classes on Monday, Dec. 2, in some parts of Sorsogon were suspended due to heavy rains caused by the shear line, authorities said on Sunday.
In Sorsogon City, Mayor Ma. Ester Hamor ordered the suspension of classes from kindergarten to secondary levels in both private and public schools.
Hamor advised her constituents to “stay indoors” and “avoid unnecessary travel” as the bad weather continues.

Residents living near landslide- and flood-prone areas were also advised to prepare for potential evacuation.

The same rainfall warning was raised over Albay and in some parts of Camarines Sur, particularly the towns of Bato, Nabua, Buhi, Baao, Balatan, and Sañgay.
